Is that an attention-grabbing name for a book or what? Actually the rest of the title is, “ Jokes So Dirty, Comedians and Entertainers Only Tell Them To Each Other.”
That’s my book, and it’s being published by Kensington Books under the Citadel imprint. It’s based on my writings for the Friars Roasts for over twenty years, and for more than 20 Roasts.
Some of those Roasts I got to actually work with the Roastee himself, like with Bruce Willis, Jerry Lewis, Rich Little, and Chuck Scarborough.

I got over 250 celebs to share with me their favorite “off-color” jokes. Some used material from their acts. Pat Cooper even wrote one for me on the spot, backstage at the Jerry Lewis Roast.

I have super-sexy sex symbols like singer/media personality Samantha Cole, Victoria ( Dr. Z.) Zdrok, the only woman to be both a Playboy Bunny and a Penthouse Pet, who currently writes a sex-advice column for Penthouse, plus five time world boxing champion Iran Barkley.

Then there’s legendary musician Gene Cornish from The Rascals, film star Gary Busey, Broadway star John Pinette, TV stars Ice-T, Jeff Garlin and Susie Essman from the HBO hit “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, Dean Edwards from SNL, world renowned Healer Aleta St. James, internationally known socialite/songwriter/Page 6 staple Denise Rich, legendary comedians Jackie Mason and Joan Rivers, major TV producers Alan Kirschenbaum, and Tom (Oz) Fontana, and TV reality show star Vinny Parco from Court TV’s hit show Parco P.I., ( whew!)

I got Sopranos stars Tony (Paulie Walnuts) Sirico, Bobby ( Eugene Pontecorvo) Funaro, Vinny ( Big Pussy) Pastore, and Vince (Johnny Sack) Curatola who took the time to call me at midnight one night just to give me his joke, and his blessing.

Then there are the comics. My intro. is from Paul Provenza the director of The Aristocrats. I expected him to tell me his own version of The Aristocrats, but he doesn’t have one. Even if he did, I couldn’t print it here.
I got Colin Quinn, Adam Ferrara, Patrice Oneal, Richard Belzer, Gilbert Gottfried, Lisa Lampanelli, Greg Giraldo, Jeffrey Ross, Chris Elliott, Jim Norton, Drew Carey, and Jason Alexander to name just a few. ( I feel like such a name dropper!!!)
Then there’s TV/radio legend/comedy icon Joe Franklin, Friars Dean Freddie Roman, award-winning Broadway producer Marty Richards, celeb photographer Patrick McMullan, and pop singer Sir Ivan.

I even got a couple of the guys from Dane Cook’s Tourgasm on HBO, Robert Kelly and Gary Gulman, and stars of tomorrow like Ted Alexandro, and Mike Birbiglia.
The book will be out next May. There’ll be a party at The Friars Club with my co-author Tripp Whetsell, and probably at one of the hottest clubs in Manhattan like my two favorites, The Plumm, or Marquee.
I just got back from two weeks in Europe where I didn’t see even one comedy club. ( I probably wouldn’t have understood the jokes anyway!) It’s great to be back in Manhattan where comedy not only rules, … COMEDY MATTERS!!!
